ADRC Staff Spotlight: Cayden Lasecki

by | Sep 25, 2024 | Blog

You may have called ADRC and spoke to a staff member over the phone or perhaps you stopped in and met with someone directly. Whichever form of communication you have used, you likely did not learn much about the individual assisting you. This is because our goal is to provide you with unbiased information and resources to assist you through life’s changes. However, building relationships is also one of our goals – so meet our team!

Meet Cayden, one of our ADRC Specialists. He has been here a little over a year now. As an ADRC Specialist, he works in our call center, answering phone calls and meeting with walk-in customers looking for guidance. Callers look for help with a range of different topics including benefits, long-term care, transportation, housing, guardianship, power of attorney, mental health supports, finding/paying for a caregiver, caregiver supports, dementia resources, the list goes on. Every day is a little different!

His favorite part of the job is helping people! He listens to each individual person, trying to understand where they are coming from to help them reach their goals, whatever they may be. Sometimes it’s just being a listening ear to someone who needs to feel heard. He knows how important this is, and does not take the job lightly. In Cayden’s own words, he says, “We can genuinely make a difference in this community by just being available for people and furthermore we are encouraged to do so. That’s why I love this job.”

If he were given a magic wand to create or change a community support or resource, he would improve housing. He states that affordable housing is an issue in the area, making it very difficult for members of the community to find and keep housing – options are very limited.

Fun Facts About Cayden:
Favorite hobby: Working out and golf
Favorite food: Alfredo
Fun fact: Tony Shalhoub (Monk) is my cousin!
