ADRC Staff Spotlight: Amy Staniforth

by | Jun 26, 2024 | Blog

You may have called ADRC and spoke to a staff member over the phone or perhaps you stopped in and met with someone directly. Whichever form of communication you have used, you likely did not learn much about the individual assisting you. This is because our goal is to provide you with unbiased information and resources to assist you through life’s changes. However, building relationships is also one of our goals – so meet our team!

Meet Amy Staniforth, our Prevention Specialist. She has been here at ADRC for 5 and a half years. She works closely with community professionals and volunteers to offer their expertise in group class style presentations. It is a lot of coordination and communication to find out what the needs of the community are to make the information and presentations available for our customers.

Her favorite part of the job is talking with customers after they’ve attended one of our presentations. She loves hearing their feedback and knowing that the work she has put into getting these educational classes set up is being enjoyed by so many.

If she were given a magic wand to create or change a community support or resource, she would create more intergenerational experiences and education for the community. There are a lot of stigmas surrounding both the older and younger generations and she believes they can be reduced and even eliminated if we can see these two groups interacting in an educational and fun space.

Fun Facts About Amy:

  • I am a Veteran
  • I love to play volleyball
  • Whenever I travel, I always try to eat somewhere new that I can’t find back home
