Let's Get Thankful

2020 has been quite the year, to say the least. It has been difficult but it has made us stronger, and now is the time to reflect on all of the things we have in our life to be thankful for. Since November is both National Family Caregiver month and we celebrate Thanksgiving, let’s bring these two together and give thanks to all family caregivers by shining the spotlight on them!

During the month of November, we wanted to know if there is someone who has cared for you, or another, and made a difference in your life. You told us their name and why they’re special to you. Every name and story helped us fill our turkey’s feathers!

My grandma and her sisters support each other in my 100-year-old great-grandma’s care. We are so fortunate to have them in our lives.

~Steph

My brothers Brian, Allen, and Chris. For everything you have done then and now.

~Angela

My incredible mother, for everything she does.

~Holly

My wife Kim. She helps me make it through each and every day without complaint. She also knows how to put a smile on my face even on my “bad” days.

~Paul

Lynn and Kari Jensen – My daughter and my son-in-law check in on us every day; phone calls, home visits, household chores, computer lessons and updates. They offer patience and listening ears, and always offer their love and support as my husband and I deal with current health issues. We are truly blessed.

~Bev

Mary Ann Grassl & Laura Grassl – you both are rockstars and go above and beyond for Dad. We are so thankful and grateful.

~Grassl Fam

Thankful for our family who are there for each other every single day.

~Linda

Of all the things our parents gave us or taught us the best was giving us one another and teaching us the love and respect for one another that we still carry with us today.

~Chris

I am thankful for all of my family members. While we all don’t live close by and see each other as often as we’d like, we support each other and are always willing to help any way that we can. Love my family.

~Jennifer

My family including my brothers, sister and mom caring for our dad who has dementia. They are Allen, Chris, Angela and Maryann.
